I do hereby seek to apply for a job at your firm. I intend to deepen my experience and understanding of geotechnical principles that guide the construction of safe and stable buildings and structures. I studied Bachelor of Science majoring in Geology and Geography at the University of Fort Hare. I graduated with a first class degree (cum laude), with exceptional passes in geotechnical engineering courses. Other relevant courses that I completed with exceptional passes include metamorphic and engineering geology and structural geology. These courses honed my understanding of principles relating to the nexus between structural engineering and geology. I acquired knowledge in determining how geological structures influence the behaviour of geological units that affect the construction of man-made features. I therefore intend to specialise in geotechnical engineering. I further pursued my honours degree, BSc (Honours), in geology and specialised in mineralogy, structural geology and geological engineering. I am currently pursuing my final year masters in Geology at the University of Fort Hare. Prime aspects of my research focuses on the study of the subsurface structures through the use of geophysical techniques. My research topic analyses the impact of subsurface structures on the pollution of groundwater.
